Toolhouse
Design Company Completes Intuit QuickBooks 2003 Product Trials
Media, Inc.,
June 2003
Bellingham-based Toolhouse
Design Company has wrapped production on Intuit's QuickBooks
2003 product trials. Intuit is the industry leader in business
and financial management for small businesses, accounting
professionals, and consumers.
The Toolhouse team developed a
series of CDs and streaming movies to help potential users
easily install free trials of several QuickBooks products and
learn about important key features. Seven industry-specific and
standard QuickBooks applications are explained through a series
of interactive presentations, hands-on guided lessons, feature
movies, and product overview tours. Streaming versions of these
movies are shown on www.quickbooks.com.
Toolhouse was also responsible
for designing the covers of the accompanying DVD-style cases,
the enclosed booklet, and the CD label for an initial press run
of 1,200,000 CDs. The CDs are available by request through
television and direct marketing advertising campaigns.
The interactive presentations
work as a front end to each trial, eliminating the frustrations
often inherent in such installations and explaining what each
product does and how it works. And Toolhouse designed each CD so
that the interactive content remains on a user's hard drive,
allowing them to go back to the CD to view any of the movies or
hands-on guided lessons again.
Toolhouse Design Company,
established in 1995, creates interactive and web-based
applications for clients that extend the effectiveness of
communication programs, enhance business processes, and increase
revenue. This holistic approach has been the catalyst for the
company's sustained, rapid growth.
From its inception, Toolhouse
has enjoyed a steady stream of both small and large clients
seeking to differentiate themselves from competitors. Diverse
clients include such national and international power brands as
Intuit (Quicken, QuickBooks, and TurboTax), Symantec (Norton
AntiVirus, Norton Internet Security, and Symantec Security
Products), and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Regional clients include
Alpha Technologies, Ledalite Architectural Products, SensorLink
Corporation, Carmadillo, Zervas Group Architects, and Resort
Semiahmoo.
